Inspired by the golden age of kickboxing cinema, this set is both luxury room and dojo. Train with a real punching bag, gloves, pads, wraps, guards, pads and more next to old trophies and vintage furniture. There’s a supremely comfortable king bed, smart TV streaming media/video games, and a great view for couples, solo warriors, or fight fans to train to win.

The Story

Step onto the set of “Bloodfist IV – Never Surrender,” Cinematique Filmworks’ attempt to cash in on the ’80s martial arts craze. Shot entirely on location in Bangkok, the film was packed with every trope: American drifter, exotic love interest, murdered friend, revenge tournament … you know how it goes.

This cinematic set features an actual Muay Thai training zone built right into the room, complete with a heavy bag, gloves, wraps, pads, shin guards, and rubber gym flooring. The Studio

Cinematique spans four floors of a beautifully restored heritage building just off Sukhumvit Road in a hip downtown neighborhood near everything you want to enjoy in Bangkok. Each room is a film set: horror, action, fantasy, historical epics, soap operas — all with a Thai cinematic twist. Cinematique is a 5-minute walk from the BTS Skytrain and close to Bangkok’s major shopping malls in a vibrant, authentic Thai community packed with street food, galleries, nightlife, restaurants, and dive bars. It’s a great and safe place to explore, have fun, and experience real Bangkok. Cannabis-friendly: While you cannot smoke indoors, weed is legal and you may smoke it in designated areas.

Perks

Cinematique guests receive free game tokens, drinks, or joints right across the street at Arcadia, our neon-lit 1980s barcade and cannabis dispensary. Grab a craft beer or legally roll a joint while battling aliens on vintage arcade cabinets.

Guest Access

Cinematique is a self-check-in hotel. You’ll receive a single unique code that opens the building entrance, the hotel entrance, and your private room door. The hotel starts on the mezzanine level and includes access to a shared coworking lounge, which will soon also screen films for guests.

 

Guests may check in any time after 2pm. Checkout is noon. Special requests for early checkin or late checkout may be arranged but may come with an additional charge. The cameras are ready. Your scene is waiting.

No Indoor Smoking: This is a non-smoking room. Smoking is permitted in designated areas including the building rooftop and behind the building on the ground floor.

Stairs Required: Unfortunately, there is no elevator. That means, to our great regret, that we cannot accommodate guests with mobility limitations.
